Andoni Iraola's unbeaten start at Liverpool faces Manchester City test
6 Oct 2026
Andoni Iraola’s unbeaten start as Liverpool manager is set against a high-profile Premier League test, with Sky Sports highlighting Sunday’s meeting with Manchester City at Anfield as the next major examination of his early work.
Sky Sports described Iraola’s opening spell as one built on strong foundations and bold decisions, while also framing the Manchester City fixture as the point where that momentum could be measured against one of the league’s strongest sides.
The report does not attach the unbeaten run to a specific number of matches, but it does present Liverpool’s early form under Iraola as a positive start rather than a completed picture. The upcoming visit from Manchester City is positioned as the clearest indicator yet of how far the team’s current identity has developed.
