Fenerbahce twice came from behind to beat Liverpool in Istanbul and end the Reds’ perfect start to this season’s UEFA Champions League, according to BBC Sport.

The BBC reported that the Turkish side, led by former Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt, produced a famous victory on a night when Liverpool’s unbeaten European run came to an end after four games.

BBC Sport also reported that Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola described the defensive mistakes as “cheap” and “messy” after his side were twice unable to hold the lead in Istanbul.
