Jack Wilshere has spoken about how his time learning from Mikel Arteta helped shape the way he sees football, according to BBC Sport. The Luton Town manager said the lessons he took from FC Barcelona and Arsenal under Arteta played a part in the development of his coaching ideas.

BBC Sport also reported that Wilshere described the return to the club where he first joined as an eight-year-old as meaningful, linking that experience with his current work in management. His comments centred on the process of understanding the game more deeply and on how that period influenced his move into coaching.

The interview placed Arteta’s influence alongside Wilshere’s own progression from player to manager, with BBC Sport framing the discussion around the lessons he learned at Arsenal and the perspective he now brings at Luton Town.
